Confocal images of cell lines treated with CFA (5 µM) at increasing incubation time. A) HeLa, B) MCF-7, C) HepG2, D) U-87 MG, E) HEK-293 and F) HDF cells. After each time point (0, 2, 4, 6, 16 and 24 h), cells were washed with PBS, and fixed with paraformaldehyde before being observed under a confocal microscope using a 20x objective. To allow a direct comparison of the absolute intensity of different time points, imaging setups were kept constant throughout all the experiments.
